

Regulations of the Mini-Relais Givrés

Art. 1 :
The Mini-Relais Givrés are an organistaion of the ASBL "Lendemains De La Veille" with the support of Brussels City. -
Art. 2 :
The event is open to anyone being at least 7 years old on the day of the event. -
Art. 3 :
The Mini-Relais Givrés take place in teams of five runners :
- 4 children (maximum 14 years old on the day of the event)
and
- 1 other runner of any age or gender -
Art. 4 :
The lap is 4 kms in length.
Each runner must complete 1 circuit alone before passing the relay to his teammate. After each team member has completed his relay, the whole team set off GROUPED TOGETHER, along with the fifth runner (the adult), for a final lap of 2 km.
Each team therefore runs a total of 22 km. -
Art. 5 :
Les inscriptions ne se feront que via le formulaire on-line. -
Art. 6 :
For organisational and security reasons, registrations will be limited to 300 teams in total. -
Art. 7 :
The composition and the race order of the team can be modified via the website upto 48 hours before the start. -
Art. 8 :
Bib numbers are to be collected on the day of the race at the registration stand as from 11am. -
Art. 9 :
At the stand marked “Inscriptions”, an id card for each team will be asked for as guarantee for the race bibs and relay baton with timing chip attached. The loss of one of these items could incur a fine of up to 40 EUR. -
Art. 10 :
The start will be given at 12:55pm if the number of teams is deemed sufficient, otherwise at the same time as the ladies start, ie 1pm. -
Art. 11 :
Young children may be accompanied by another person during their individual lap. -
Art. 12 :
The relays will take place in the order of bib letters ie : bib "A", then bib "B", then bib "C", then bib "D" and lastly bib "E", who MUST be the adult runner. -
Art. 13 :
Relays must only take place in the foreseen relay zone. -
Art. 14 :
Race bibs must be worn on the chest and be clearly visible. This is to help the timekeepers in obtaining individual timings.
Non-obeyance will result in only the overall team time being recorded. -
Art. 15 :
A refreshment stand will be located nearby the relay zone, outside the running course. -
Art. 16 :
Medical service will be provided by the Red Cross and will be located next to the relay zone. -
Art. 17 :
The final time of the team is calculated on the time of the last runner to pass the finish line. -
Art. 18 :
The names and the order of the runners figuring in the classifications will relate to those given by the team captain at least 48 hours before the start of the race. -
Art. 19 :
A gift will be offered to each team when they return their 5 bib numbers and the relay baton. -
Art. 20 :
A team is only considered registered if both registration and payment are in order. Teams with registration in order have priority over teams in the process of registration, regardless of the time of pre-registration. -
Art. 21 :
A team having registered and paid will only be reimbursed their registration fee if the organisation is notified before the 15th of December!
Teams cancelling between the 15th of December and 1st of January will be reimbursed 15 EUR.
As from the 1st of January, the date the registration fee changes, no reimbursement will be made!
Cancellations cannot be made by telephone. -
Art. 22 :
In the event of force majeure, natural disaster or any other circumstance putting in danger the security of the competitors, the organisation reserves the right to cancel the event. Should this arise the competitors will not be entitled to reimbursement. -
Art. 23 :
Personal information will only be used for the results lists, the IT services and press communications. -
Art. 24 :
The participant authorise the organisation of the Relais Givrés to use their names, photos and race times for use by the press, radio and television. -
Art. 25 :
Runners participate at their own exclusive responsibility. -
Art. 26 :
The organisation declines all responsibility in the event of accident or health problems. -
Art. 27 :
The organisation declines all responsibility in the event of theft or loss occuring during the race. -
Art. 28 :
Runners are encouraged to wear a headlamp. If these are not worn after sunset, then the organising committee takes no responsability in the event of a fall. -
Art. 29 :
The commitment taken by the team captain at the time of registration is firm and definitive and implies the knowledge and complete accordance of the rules by all the team members. -
Art. 30 :
Personal club or sponsors tents/awnings not from the organisation may be accepted onto the Relais Givrés site with prior agreement from the organisation. The placement site for the tent/awning should be discussed with the organisation. -
Art. 31 :
Any complaint must be submitted in writing to the organisers by 7pm at the latest. -
Art. 32 :
Any non-respect of these regulations will be sanctioned with immediate disqualification of the team.
